I am a special educator who has had the misfortune of having to watch Dr. Shell completely sabotage the best interest of her clients. She is rude and hostile to IEP team members and school administration. She has a reputation for misrepresenting her credentials and for being so contentious that meetings are either held up or actually stopped due to Dr. Shell's outbursts and verbal attacks. It is heartbreaking to see well meaning parents who only want the best for their child waste their time and money on the most unethical and unprofessional advocate I have ever experienced in my many years of being a special educator.

First, I want to let you know I am a service provider, not a parent. I have recently attended meetings in which Dr Shell acted as an advocate for a student in our school. She was rude and insulting to the IEP team, and frequently made false or unsubstantiated comments. In my opinion, she has not helped the child o rthe family. Rather, several school members of the IEP team do not even want to deal with the child. Dr Shell's unprofessional behavior has created a large rift bewteen the parents and the school. The child's mother and principal are now to trying to work things out. I, for one, will no longer have anything to do this this case. I have a reputation for working through just about anything to provide what a child needs. In this case, Dr Shell has cost the child services.
