Diagnostic Services: Children’s Hospital offers a multi-disciplinary diagnostic clinic. We offer the services of Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians, Psychologists that specializes in MR/DD services, Speech Therapists, and Autism Resource Coordinators at one appointment to ensure that families receive comprehensive, high-quality care within one appointment.
Columbus Children’s Hospital also offers diagnostic & cognitive testing through Psychologists that specializes in MR/DD services to help rule out or confirm autism spectrum disorders or assist with recommendations for children previously diagnosed. Additionally, school & behavioral assistance appointments are available.
Treatment: Columbus Children’s Hospital has an Intensive Behavioral Intervention Clinic to provide individualized ABA programs for children 2- 11 diagnosed on the autism spectrum. We also provide individualized services for children of school age & children diagnosed with Asperger’s.
Other Services:
Columbus Children’s Hospital has a staff of Autism Resource Coordinators that help navigate families through the systems—both within the hospital & within the community.
They assist families with finding funding & resources for services within the community. They keep families & health care providers informed of new developments in funding, advocacy & treatment and provide community education & outreach.
