Here at the Bureau of Insurance, we truly believe that our mission is to provide assistance to Virginia citizens who have questions or problems involving insurance. In an average year, in addition to providing many forms of assistance that have nothing to do with money, our staff is responsible for having more than $10 million returned to Virginia consumers in the form of refunds, benefit payments, changed claim determinations, and the like.
