Learning Disabilities Association of Missouri

Provides information and support to parents, learning disabled individuals and professionals. Monitors and advises on special education legislation at the federal and state levels.
Provides a scholarship for a learning disabled senior planning to attend college. Hosts an Annual State Conference each year in October in conjunction with Learning Disabilities Month.
Provides workshops for parents and professionals.
Promotes awareness, understanding and communication between parents, educators and the community. Advocates the need for appropriate and effective teacher training. Provides publications, pamphlets at cost to members as a service. Publishes the bi-monthly newsletter, "Perspectives." All members also receive the national newsletter, "Newsbriefs" and a newsletter from their local affiliate. Provides a video lending library.
