I have seen Mary Jo many MANY times, both in groups and with people on an individual level. She is AMAZING! She was working with an older population, but after was singing songs on the radio! She knows a WIDE variety of songs, and she learns all the songs that some one requests and she doesn't know (oh how very few times that has ever happened, she seems to know so very VERY many!) I have listened to her play the harp, and sing and play the guitar. She treats everyone with diginty and the respect that they deserve, no matter what background, condition, life situatoin. I LOVE Mary Jo. She truly Dances like no one is watching (thus making others more involved in her music!) and her voice is AMAZING! I have seen her visit with people who didn't particularly want to visit, but her music held a conversation with that person. And have seen her meet with people who will only truly "connect" with her because of her music! Over and over again! I cannot say enough great things about her. If you are looking for a music therapist who knows a wide variety of music, is willing to dance like no one is around, is sweet, sassy, and very profesional, then Mary Jo is your gal!
