The South Carolina Developmental Disabilities Surveillance Program (SCDDSP) is a population-based investigation, modeled after the CDC Metropolitan Atlanta Developmental Disabilities Surveillance Program. Information from both clinical and nonclinical sources will be used to establish the rate of autism spectrum disorders in the study region. The investigators are members of the Departments of Pediatrics and Epidemiology and College of Health Professions at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
