The Gray Center approaches the social impairment in ASD as a shared impairment. We work to improve social understanding on both sides of the social equation, helping individuals with ASD to communicate and interact more successfully with the people with whom they live and work.

We provide information and support through free network meetings and a bookstore and resource library. We are known for our use of Social Stories™, developed by our Director, Carol Gray. We also hold frequent workshops and conferences, and have awarded grants to other organizations whenever finances have allowed.
