ARC Broward is the oldest and largest private, not-for-prifit organization providing supports and assistance primarily to children and adults with Developmental Disabilities, including Autism in Broward County, Florida. The organization provides an array of 23 various services and supports, is outcomes driven and has received the highely coveted 3-year accreditation by CARF, the Rehabilitation Commission, since 1991.

The Ann Storck Center is a nationally accredited, highly acclaimed 501 (c) (3) non-profit human service organization serving the needs of children and adults in South Florida who present severe and multiple developmental disabilities including Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Mental Retardation. Spectrum Center serves students in grades PreK/4-12 with challenging educational and behaviorial needs within the spectrum of autism. Atlantis Academy is a personalized instructional program for PreK/4-12 special needs students.

The Mailman Segal Institute’s commitment to individuals with autism and their families began in 1984 with the Fort Lauderdale Oral School’s move to Nova Southeastern University’s main campus. Two children with autism were included in the educational program, which expanded to serve children with a variety of communication disorders.

Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Center, Inc. provides evaluations, treatments and orientation to parents, professionals and the general community regarding speech-language disorders. Our professionals are certified and competent to diagnose and treat speech-language pathologies in English and Spanish.

The incidence of autism spectrum disorders is increasing and it affects many individuals and families in Florida. In response to the needs of these people, six nonresidential resource centers have been established at Florida State University, the University of Florida in Gainesville, the University of Florida at Jacksonville, the University of South Florida, the University of Miami, and the University of Central Florida. The Center at Florida State University serves both children and adults with autism spectrum disorders who experience all levels of intellectual functioning. The Center also serves people with dual sensory impairments, or sensory impairment with other disabling conditions. Our primary focus is to provide an individualized, direct response to the needs of these individuals and their families. Along with direct services we also offer technical assistance and consultation, professional training programs, and public education activities. CARD services are designed to build on the capacities of state and local resources, not to duplicate or replace them. The Center is funded by the Florida Legislature through the Department of Education and all services are provided free of charge. The Center has three offices which are located in Tallahassee at 625 B North Adams Street, on the Florida State University Campus in Panama City at 4750 Collegiate Drive, and in the Children's Medical Services building in Pensacola at 5192 Bayou Blvd. CARD's focus on families is demonstrated by its reliance on its Constituency Board. This body is comprised of family members representing persons with autism spectrum disorders. It meets quarterly with Center staff to provide guidance on policies, priorities, and activities.

We provide college options for autistic students. We give them the academic, independent living, and social skills support and development they need to live an independent and productive life. We have locations throughout the country.

College Living Experience is a post-secondary academic program that provides intensive assistance with academic, independent living and social skills to college students with special needs as they transition to become independent responsible adults. College Living Experience assists students throughout the academic process from registration to graduation. With centers in Austin, Texas, Denver and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Washington D.C. and Monterey, Calif. College Living Experience offers access to nearly 20 community colleges, universities and technical institutes that offer a wide variety of certificate and degree programs.

Early Intervention Program starting August in Naples, Florida; Individual services using techniques of applied behavioral analysis in a 1:1 setting. Eligibility: If you child (age 2-5 yrs) has been diagnosed with autism ot a related disability/and or is experiencing a delay/s in the area of social, communication and behavioral development.
