The Autism Society of Greater Orlando provides support to families of children and adults with autism. Our mission is that all individuals within the autism spectrum will be provided a lifetime network of opportunities to become fully accepted, included, and actively participating members of our community through family support, education, advocacy, and public awareness.

The goal of our program is for individuals with disabilities to experience a place where the body, mind and spirit are supported in attaining their full potential, allowing support for the family in healing and normalizing their lives to the highest degree possible.

We are a K-12 school for students with special learning needs. We serve students in the autism spectrum and have impressive results in social skills and in language among these children. The directo's thesis is entitled, "Autism: Reducting obsessive behaviors." The medical director, Dr. Eric Tridas, MD, is nationally known for his work with autism. We also serve students with learning disabilities and developmental delay.

The Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law is a national legal advocate for people with mental disabilities. Through precedent-setting litigation and in the public policy arena, the Bazelon Center works to advance and preserve the rights of people with mental illnesses and developmental disabilities.

The College Internship Program at The Brevard Center is a comprehensive post high school program for students ages 18 - 26 with Asperger's Syndrome and Non Verbal Learning Differences. Each student's comprehensive program is individualized and supports the student as he/she works intensively on social skills. In addition a student can pursue a two or four year degree, vocational skills, and/ or internships while living in apartments and building independent living skills which include budgeting and money mangagement and cooking skills.
