Last year (2005-2006), our students made an average of 2-6 years of academic gains. We hold ourselves accountable and help our clients navigate this maze of constantly expanding resources by utilizing state of the art, research-based tools.

College Living Prep (CLP) provides personalized academic instruction to students in grades six through 12 with autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or other learning disabilities that prevent them from succeeding in a traditional school setting. In addition to offering individualized curriculum plans, the daily four-hour accredited program is designed to help students develop social skills and confidence while preparing them for the challenges of independent living.

We offer high quality center based applied behavior analysis services following a verbal behavior model. We serve children 18 months and up with an Autism Specturm Disorder. All instruction provided on a one to one basis.

Kicklighter Resource Center exists to improve the quality of life for children and adults with mental retardation, autism, and other developmental disabilities through advocacy, family support, community education, and direct services.

Serves children 1 1/2-5; Legends is a nonprofit preschool intervention program for children with developmental disabilities. It provides an intense structured infant, toddler, and preschool program. The center’s language based program integrates children with autism and other developmental disabilities with typically developing children by providing a low teacher student ratio.

Progress Listening Center helps children with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or ADD/ADHD by offering EnListen, the newest patented program available to improve listening, auditory processing, and sensory integration. Developed by Sound Listening Corporation who is chaired by Dr. Billie Thompson, EnListen provides families an in-home choice once the initial evaluation is done. Dr. Thompson was the pioneer who brought Tomatis to the U.S. EnListen takes the benefits of Tomatis many steps further by improving Bone Conduction interference and increasing all processing of sounds necessary to produce word sounds, body coordination and receptive language.

Speech Therapy and commmunication services offered in a fun clinical setting. We have experienced therapists that specialize in autism and associated conditions. In addition to one on one therapy, we also offer social skills class which is taught by one of our license Speech Language Pathologists. We are proud to be the host location for the North Fulton Autism Group, which meets on a monthly basis and addresses various issues.

School program based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB). We also offer afterschool one-on-one therapy and consultations for home-based programs. Our program is overseen by a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst and directed by 2 Masters level teachers/therapists.

The Autism Angel Center is the umbrella organization under which private programming and resources are extended in a wide range of capacities to individuals with autism and related disorders in Northeast Georgia. In addition to private consultation services for families, schools, and professionals to help providers establish best practices in serving individuals with autism, the center currently offers two pivotal programs for Northeast Georgians: Social Butterflies social skills programs for children with autism alongside typical peers, and TAAP Early Intervention Classroom, a full day, year round private early intervention program for children ages 2 to 5. Social Butterflies currently offers two weekly inclusive group programs located at the Sandy Creek Nature Center with sponsorship by ACC Leisure Services. TAAP Early Intervention Classroom offers a select number of full time placements to children with ASD's and related disorders for one on one, small group, and inclusion learning and is located just outside of Athens, GA in Watkinsville off of Highway 316 and the Loop 10. Social Butterflies is a non-profit program currently in operations, and TAAP will open doors in early 2006 with applications being accepted now. The center is presently transitioning to being established as an official 501 (c)3 non-profit center to further advance intentions to make exceptional quality private autism services available and affordable for Northeast Georgia families.

Learning center for school-aged children 6-18. Programs based on the developmental individualized relationship theory (DIR) of Dr. Stanley Greenspan and Dr. Serena Wieder. Staffed by highly trained professionals -- interdisciplinary approach.

The Model Classroom an educational program for students with autism spectrum disorders. The combined pre kindergarten / kindergarten class serves 6 children, the first through third classroom serves a maximum of seven students.

We provide the following services for children ages 2-10: Individualized ABA therapy, Early Education Program (ages 4-6), Primary Education Program (ages 7-10), After School Enrichment Program (Social Skills and Academic Tutoring), Occupational Therapy/Sensory Integration, Speech and Language services, Parent training and Support Group, Home-based therapy, training and seminars for educators and other professionals.
