A New Leaf, is a family owned business of masters degree educators. Joy has a masters degree in special education, as well as a son with asperger's. She does academic therapy with kids one-on-one, as well as small group teaching as home school enhancement with special needs students of all ages. Other services include: tutoring 4-adult, educational workshops, special education advisement and advocating, and social skills activities. A New Leaf is a family owned and operated center servicing families with both Academic and Developmental needs. AUCD formerly UAP(University Affiliated Programs) are authorized by federal legislation to help States and local communities respond to the needs of people with developmental disabilities and their families.(AUCDs) serve as a liaison between the academic world and the developmental disabilities service delivery system. AUCDs network with and provide assistance to State Agencies, their local affiliates, and to various non-governmental consumer-based organizations. Most AUCDs provide direct clinical, educational, and other services to individuals and families, or can assist families in finding services.
