Aspire was founded in 1960 by a small group of concerned parents who identified a need for specialized services for people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy. Today, early intervention services are provided for children birth to three years of age; beginning at age 18, a complete array of day, employment and residential services for adults are available. Families are at the heart of Aspire's mission. Their decisions and support are the guiding elements in Aspire's services. |

College Living Experience is a post-secondary academic program that provides intensive assistance with academic, independent living and social skills to college students with special needs as they transition to become independent responsible adults. College Living Experience assists students throughout the academic process from registration to graduation. With centers in Austin, Texas, Denver and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Washington D.C. and Monterey, Calif. College Living Experience offers access to nearly 20 community colleges, universities and technical institutes that offer a wide variety of certificate and degree programs. |

Rimland Services for Autistic Citizens offers a behavior treatment program for autistic children, adolescents, and young adults through its Day School and Adult Vocational Day Program. Members of the adult program also participate in a sheltered workshop program to shape work-oriented skills. Rimland Services for Autistic Citizens also operates two residential group homes and a 9-month weekend respite program. They serve all Illinois residents. |
