All the information concerns teaching methods that are a branch of applied behavior analysis (ABA) called behavioral intervention. North Shore Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to consultation of treatment, providing the highest quality services to children and families. Our professionals include occupational (S.I),speech and physical therapists, ABA therapists using DT and VB, extenders of RDI and Floortime, Nutritionists, and social workers. Aspire was founded in 1960 by a small group of concerned parents who identified a need for specialized services for people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy. Today, early intervention services are provided for children birth to three years of age; beginning at age 18, a complete array of day, employment and residential services for adults are available. Families are at the heart of Aspire's mission. Their decisions and support are the guiding elements in Aspire's services.

One of the most complex tasks both parents and professionals face is developing and implementing an effective language intervention for children with autism. Parents and professionals are finding that BOTH Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Training (NET), together with the help of Skinner's (1957) Functional Analysis of Verbal Behavior to be very effective for children with autism. This is commonly referred to as Applied Verbal Behavior (AVB)which is a specialty within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
