State Agency. The ASK Family Resource Center is an exciting new concept; a "one-stop-shop" for children and adults with disabilities and their families. Through its member organizations, the ASK Resource Center provides a broad range of information, advocacy, support, training, and direct services. These services are all accessible in one building or from one phone call. A single contact can direct individuals or families to the most appropriate services and supports to meet their needs. No frustrating series of dead end contacts. No duplication of valuable limited resources.

The AutismIowa group was formed to create a resource for parents and professionals to network about recent autism issues in Iowa. One of the most complex tasks both parents and professionals face is developing and implementing an effective language intervention for children with autism. Parents and professionals are finding that BOTH Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Training (NET), together with the help of Skinner's (1957) Functional Analysis of Verbal Behavior to be very effective for children with autism.
