State Agency. The ASK Family Resource Center is an exciting new concept; a "one-stop-shop" for children and adults with disabilities and their families. Through its member organizations, the ASK Resource Center provides a broad range of information, advocacy, support, training, and direct services. These services are all accessible in one building or from one phone call. A single contact can direct individuals or families to the most appropriate services and supports to meet their needs. No frustrating series of dead end contacts. No duplication of valuable limited resources. |

Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities programs provide long-term, graduate level interdisciplinary training to health professionals. The purpose is to develop leadership potential to improve the health status of infants, children, and adolescents with or at risk for neurodevelopmental and related disabilities and to enhance the systems of care for these children and their families. The program focuses on health conditions of mental retardation, neurodegenerative and acquired neurological disorders and multiple handicaps. All LEND Programs operate within a university system and most have collaborative arrangements with local university hospitals, children's hospitals, and/or health care centers. |

The Iowa Program for Assistive Technology (IPAT) is Iowa's grant project under the Assistive Technology Act (ATA) of 1998. IPAT's goals are to promote and create systems change in the state with regards to assistive technology (AT) and it's use. IPAT works with consumers and family members, service providers, and state and local agencies/organizations to promote assistive technology through awareness, training, and policy work. |

Parent Training and Information Center of Iowa (PTI) is a federally funded grant project from the U.S. Department of Education that focuses on the educational needs of children with disabilities in Iowa, particularly those who are underserved or may be inappropriately identified. In addition to technical assistance to families, PTI also provides training on the Indviduals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The goal is to help parents better understand the Individual Education Program (IEP) and Individual Family Support Program (IFSP) process and become better advocates for their children. |

Developed by Sound Listening Corporation who is chaired by Dr. Billie Thompson, EnListen provides families an in-home choice once the initial evaluation is done. Dr. Thompson was the pioneer who brought Tomatis to the U.S. EnListen takes the benefits of Tomatis many steps further by improving Bone Conduction interference and increasing all processing of sounds necessary to produce word sounds, body coordination and receptive language. |
