The Autism Society of the Bluegrass is a local chapter of the Autism Society of America.

The Autism Society of Western Kentucky, a chapter of The Autism Society of America, is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization of parents, professionals,and other concerned community members dedicated to the support, education, and welfare of children and adults within the autism spectrum.

Autism Solution Center, Inc. provides all autism-related interventions under one roof and at No Cost! Our goal is to make sure everyone with an autism spectrum disorder has access to appropriate, early, intensive intervention as well as education and training for loved ones and service providers. ASC believes every individual should have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential, regardless of their ability to pay.

More than 10 national autism leadership organizations have come together to form AutismCares, a nationwide disaster relief effort that will potentially assist thousands of Katrina families living with autism. To address the most immediate needs, ”AutismCares – Katrina” is coordinating support for the unique needs of families affected by autism through facilitating temporary / permanent relocation support, mobilizing specialty assistance teams and providing autism-conscious supplies directly to these families and the professionals caring for them.

To maximize the vocational potential and quality of life of adult persons with disabilities or other barriers to employment, through the flexible integration of counseling, evaluation, life and work skills training, job placement, support services and employment in a therapeutic or community based remunerative work environment.

BIFAC specializes in in-home programs based on the works and programming of Dr. Vincent Carbonne and Dr. Ivar Lovaas, supplemented by other developmentally appropriate techniques. We provide direct intervention for children ages 2 to 9. For children 10 and older, we offer consultation services but not direct interventions. These programs normally consist of between 20 and 40 hours of direct one-on-one intervention with a BIFAC interventionist. We also attend Admissions and Release Committee (ARC) meetings where we aid in the discussion of our clients' Individiual Education Programs (IEP) and any other type of meetings or appointments that relate to the child's treatment. In addition to directly providing services, we offer caregivers several resources which may be useful in aiding treatment as well.

Blessed Assurance (BACS) provides continuing education opportunities for individuals with mental retardation, developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries.

Camp KYSOC, located in Carrollton, KY provides a unique camping experience for children and adults who have physical, developmental and multiple disabilities, learning and behavioral disorders, eating disorders, spina bifida and autism. Offering a wide range of traditional camping activities-hiking, swimming, crafts and campfires, KYSOC has accessible facilities and black-topped paths so everyone can enjoy its rustic setting. Camp KYSOC has both day camp and resident summer camp programs, as well as respite weekends and retreat opportunities throughout the year.

The mission of Cedar Lake is to provide residential options, housing, services and supports designed to meet the individual needs of persons with intellectual disabilities.

The Cincinnati Center for Autism (CCA) provides a variety of services designed to help children with autism reach their fullest potential. Our programs address many of the behavioral, social, communication and motor delays common in children with autism. Located in Fairfield just north of I-275, the center serves children and families in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization formed to improve the condition of children, specifically children with autism. We use a variety of programs designed to provide education instruction, entertainment, recreation and social interaction in hopes of training for self support and useful, happy lives.

The Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities was created to represent the interests of employees with disabilities in Kentucky state government. The Council advocates for the rights of state employees with disabilities. It also serves as a resource for state agencies on disability-related issues. The Council achieves its goals through education and legislation.
