The mission of the Judevine? Center for Autism is to make a real difference in the quality of life for children and adults with autism and their families wherever they may live.

Autism Solution Center, Inc. provides all autism-related interventions under one roof and at No Cost! Our goal is to make sure everyone with an autism spectrum disorder has access to appropriate, early, intensive intervention as well as education and training for loved ones and service providers. ASC believes every individual should have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential, regardless of their ability to pay.

More than 10 national autism leadership organizations have come together to form AutismCares, a nationwide disaster relief effort that will potentially assist thousands of Katrina families living with autism. To address the most immediate needs, ”AutismCares – Katrina” is coordinating support for the unique needs of families affected by autism through facilitating temporary / permanent relocation support, mobilizing specialty assistance teams and providing autism-conscious supplies directly to these families and the professionals caring for them.

Collaborative Family Associates helps solve serious problems facing children, teens, adults, couples, and families. We offer compassionate, creative, and effective counseling and coaching. Using state of the art communication strategies, educational information, and creative arts, we help develop practical possibilities into sustainable solutions.

We provide a variety of services including training, materials dissemination, technical assistance and consultation. Our mission is to assist in the sucessful implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act by helping individuals, organizations, businesses, local governments and agencies understand their rights and responsibilities under the ADA.

The Disabilities Advocacy and Support Network (The Network), is a parent run support organization. The primary goal of The Network is to provide emotional and educational support, awareness within the community, and a therapeutic social outlet for individuals with development disabilities and their families. The Network has been in existence since 1976 and began as Pilot Parents. We serve the following counties in Missouri: Christian, Dallas, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Laclede, Ozark, Polk, Stone, Taney, Webster, and Wright.

The Epilepsy Foundation of St Louis has an active grassroots advocacy network where consumers effect change in the social service delivery system at the local, state, and national levels. Development of services are provided by individual advocacy and systems advocacy.

We are a 501(c)3 organization that provides family support for those in the Southeast MIssouri area whose family member may be affected by autism. We are currently constructing our website and it should be available soon. We have meetings monthly and are currently working with our local PAC (parent advisory committee) to bring better service to the Southeast MIssouri region.

Giant Steps of St. Louis, founded in 1994, provides an integrated program of intensive therapeutic intervention and educational support to school-aged children with autism spectrum disorder. Parent support groups meet regularly. The mission of Giant Steps of St. Louis is to empower children with autism spectrum disorder to participate fully in all aspects of life, including home, community and education.

Mission: To improve the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities across this entire age span by 1) promoting community inclusion, community membership, independence, productivity, and social participation; and 2) promoting high quality and effective community-based services and individualized supports for persons with developmental disabilities and their families.

Jonah & The Whale Foundation is a 501(c)3 non profit that helps families of disabled and chronically ill children The foundation provides parents with binders and resource materials to encourage organization of medical and educational information and to further encourage better communication between all parties involved. The foundation also has a mobile & web library with books about many diseases and disabilities for parents to use or even purchase at low cost, a collection of durable medical equipment is also available for parents who have exhausted every avenue to obtain insurance coverage, and finally the foundation offers emotional support for the parents and siblings as well as family networking for parents to meet others in similar circumstances. J&TWF distributes family support and education through specific brochures and web pages for moms, dads, and siblings. Issues include ways for mothers to protect themselves from difficult hospitals and challenging physicians, encouragement for fathers to become more knowledgeable about and more involved with their special needs child, as well as suggestions for parents to include and support the needs of their well children.
