KidsRUs Therapy, Inc provides OT and speech therapy services to chidlren in schools, preK's, daycares, clinics, and home based settings. We work with children 0-18 wth a variety of diagnosis and disabiltiies. Our therapists are highly qualifed in a many different areas of therapy intervention and we strive to meet the needs of the child to a particular therapist that will benefit that child the most in therapy.

The Mariposa School for Children with Autism is based on a model being followed by schools in California and Florida which are successfully providing one-on-one instruction to children with autism. We work with specialized consultants from the fields of speech and language, occupational, behavioral and educational therapies. This team of professionals, along with our program director, tailors and oversees each student’s program and provides guidance to our instructors who work with the children on a daily basis.

Progress Listening Center helps children with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or ADD/ADHD by offering EnListen, the newest patented program available to improve listening, auditory processing, and sensory integration. Developed by Sound Listening Corporation who is chaired by Dr. Billie Thompson, EnListen provides families an in-home choice once the initial evaluation is done. Dr. Thompson was the pioneer who brought Tomatis to the U.S. EnListen takes the benefits of Tomatis many steps further by improving Bone Conduction interference and increasing all processing of sounds necessary to produce word sounds, body coordination and receptive language.

The Frankie Lemmon School is the oldest kindergarten serving children with developmental disabilities in Wake County. The school was started in 1965 at Hudson Memorial Presbyterian church. The current location at Hayes Barton Baptist Church has been the school's home since 1975. Frankie Lemmon serves children from 3-8 years of age, with an enrollment total of 25 students each year because of space limitations.

The Mariposa School is a school of excellence for children with autism to promote development of their communication, social, academic and motor skills. The school provides year round one-on-one instruction to children with autism, using innovative teaching techniques based on the principles of Verbal Behavior. Comprehensive services are provided targeting multiple developmental areas in a single integrated setting. We also know it's important to pay attention to maintaining a safe and healthy environment, since there is a high incidence of chemical and other sensitivities in the student population. Parents are active partners in their child’s program, offering input to the school team and providing follow through with agreed upon goals in their home.

WAFAC is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization founded in 2005,whose purpose is to raise awareness about autism locally and among the non Eglish speaking community. Our support group is very diverse and we are mothers of children from 13 different countries. We are working hard for our project to be called " Escape Zone" a recreattion and fun center for children with autism and their typical peers,to be open 7 days a week. Please join us !!1
