Achieva commits to excellence in lifelong services for people with disabilities and their families. STATEMENT OF VISION -- Achieva envisions the day when people with disabilities fully participate in their communities.

ASDTogether has been founded by a mother of three young children one of whom is on the autism spectrum. The organization has been started to help address the social and recreational needs of whole families that are living with autism spectrum disorder.

We have a family retreat camp scheduled for two nights near State College, PA. We will be offering a CF/GF diet and volunteer assistance for each family. The link to the retreat center is on the website.

Other events will be scheduled as the organization evolves.

The Advisory Board on Autism & Related Disorders' (ABOARD) mission is to maximize the potential and possibilities of children, adolescents and adults with autism in Pennsylvania. ABOARD serves an active registered membership of almost 9,000 families, as well as the professionals who serve them. We do so through 5 multi-component programs: Building Awareness, Information Dissemination, Family Support & Outreach, Education & Training, and Collaboration & Partnerships.

We believe that families challenged by autism are entitled to accurate and timely information, require emotional and practical support from other families struggling with comparable challenges, and often need advocacy assistance and training to maximize availability and utilization of treatment, educational and vocational possibilities required by law.

Advocacy.org provides social justice advocates with resources and guidance in the area of advocacy leadership development, and also introduces our programs and services. We're will be constantly updating our site with stories, resources and lessons learned in order to pass on what we've learned from advocates like you.

AHEADD is a private organization which provides coaching, mentoring and personal advocacy for students with HFA/AS attending college.

BERARD AIT is a method of retraining the ear so that the participant can listen and process sounds more normally without distortions and delays. The treatment is not invasive. It uses modulated, broadband music to retrain the auditory processing system. Results from BERARD AIT practitioners around the world document that when the Berard protocol is used, in conjunction with BERARD equipment, positive results are achieved. BERARD AIT enhances hearing perception. Individuals over the age of 3 can participate. Teenagers and adults also benefit. Individuals with Autism spectrum disorders, ADD, LD, PDD, CAPD, hypersensitivity and other sensory processing disorders have benefited from this innovative therapeutic program.

Staff at the Alliance act as service coordinators for families whose children are eligible for early intervention services from birth to their third birthday. The Alliance assists families in participating fully in planning and decision making for children entering the early intervention system. They provide families with information about child and family services and as well as their rights in the early intervention system. The Alliance is a family centered program, available to offer helpful information and emotional support while respecting a family's choices and decisions.

This group is for families and professionals interested in learning and sharing news, information and resources about autism in the Wayne/Pike Counties region of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Members are encouraged to share information and ask questions about medical, educational and therapeutic treatments, both traditional and non-traditional, for autism spectrum disorders. Our group meets on the second Wednesday of every month in Honesdale, PA. .

Autism evaluations and second opinions. Family counseling; sibling issues; couples' issues. Drs. Naseef and Ariel specialize in working with families of children with special health care needs. Dr Naseef is an expert in the psychology of men and fatherhood.

Amicus for Children, Inc. educates, supports, and empowers the families of children. The mission of Amicus is to unite caring professionals with families in need, to work in partnership in order to enhance the lives of the children who depend on us. Amicus has a key interest in assisting, educating, and providing resources for the parents/guardians of special needs children so that they can be their children’s "first and best advocate."

Angela Ennis provides group and individual Dance/Movement Therapy to children with Autism Spectrum disorders, focusing on verbal and nonverbal communication and interaction. Group and individual therapy for siblings of children with Autism are also offered, where the concentration is on developing coping skills, building self-esteem, and connecting with others having similar experiences.

I offer legal services to families of children with disabilites. I specialize in cases involving individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
