ASDTogether has been founded by a mother of three young children one of whom is on the autism spectrum. The organization has been started to help address the social and recreational needs of whole families that are living with autism spectrum disorder. We have a family retreat camp scheduled for two nights near State College, PA. We will be offering a CF/GF diet and volunteer assistance for each family. The link to the retreat center is on the website. Other events will be scheduled as the organization evolves.

The Advisory Board on Autism & Related Disorders' (ABOARD) mission is to maximize the potential and possibilities of children, adolescents and adults with autism in Pennsylvania. ABOARD serves an active registered membership of almost 9,000 families, as well as the professionals who serve them. We do so through 5 multi-component programs: Building Awareness, Information Dissemination, Family Support & Outreach, Education & Training, and Collaboration & Partnerships.

We believe that families challenged by autism are entitled to accurate and timely information, require emotional and practical support from other families struggling with comparable challenges, and often need advocacy assistance and training to maximize availability and utilization of treatment, educational and vocational possibilities required by law.

Autism support group - meets monthly

AHEADD is a private organization which provides support for students with HFA/AS in higher education. Staff are also trained in administering ADI-R and ADOS gold standard diagnostic tools.

Staff at the Alliance act as service coordinators for families whose children are eligible for early intervention services from birth to their third birthday. The Alliance assists families in participating fully in planning and decision making for children entering the early intervention system. They provide families with information about child and family services and as well as their rights in the early intervention system. The Alliance is a family centered program, available to offer helpful information and emotional support while respecting a family's choices and decisions.

Autism evaluations and second opinions. Family counseling; sibling issues; couples' issues. Drs. Naseef and Ariel specialize in working with families of children with special health care needs. Dr Naseef is an expert in the psychology of men and fatherhood.

Amicus for Children, Inc. educates, supports, and empowers the families of children. The mission of Amicus is to unite caring professionals with families in need, to work in partnership in order to enhance the lives of the children who depend on us. Amicus has a key interest in assisting, educating, and providing resources for the parents/guardians of special needs children so that they can be their children’s "first and best advocate."

ASCEND Group is an Asperger Syndrome information alliance for Greater Philadelphia. Their mission is to raise public awareness about Asperger syndrome, to advocate for improved education and services, and to provide support and information to the regional Asperger community. Meetings take place in counties throughout the region.

ASD HOPE is a group of parents and professionals located in Central Pennsylvania and dedicated to helping you find the answers that will help your child. Our Parent Information Packet is meant to serve as a resource of information and hope for you and your family! It contains a top 10 list of things to do once you receive an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis as well as listings of treatment options and local agencies you may need to contact. ASD HOPE's Empowerment workshops are designed to do just what the title implies -- EmPOWER Parents with information and inspiration to take control of their child's treatment. We also have many moms doing diet/biomedical interventions that can mentor other families.
