ACCEL is a private, non-profit, special education school providing educational, behavioral and therapeutic services to over 200 students, ages 3-21, with cognitive, emotional, orthopedic, and/or behavioral disabilities. Incorporated in 1980, the agency has grown to four sites in Maricopa County.

My role as a consulant, evaluator, teacher, therapist, ABA and behavior specialist is to find the key and unlock the door to a new outlook. Each child is unique and so is the program that I develop. Autism is not a determined destination, it is a joutney that we can take together. After assessing your child's abilities, I will outline a team plan. I video tape often to review the progress made and to help develop modifivations as necessary. I have been a speech and language therapist for the last 27 years and an ECSE preschool teacher for children with autism he last 7 years. I have developed and taught in the observatinal and teaching clssroom with reversed intgration for children with autism. I have trained teachers, assistants, administration and home therapy providers in the area of behavior management, ABA, DTT and in the manner that children with autism learn. I have worked closely with O.T.s and P.T.s and integrated sensori therapy needs into the program. I am licenced in the areas of Early Childhood Special Education, Autism and Reading (graduate and post graduate levels); early childhood education speech and language pathology and elementary education (undergraduate level). I hold licences in the states of New York. Arizona, and Nevada (Autism). I am also certified as a state provider as an Autism Consultant, habilitation and respite provider. I am available as a consultant, evaluator and program developer, advocate for child and parent, therapist, teacher, trainer, habilitation and respite provider. I will soon open a preschool center with reversed integration for children with autism.

The basic educational purpose of Gateway Academy is to develop academic, social, behavioral, physical and problem-solving skills which will enable our students to live constructive lives. The Gateway educational program is based on a cognitive behavioral model designed to offer intensive skills training in reading, writing, math, and study skills. The model includes social skills and a behavior modification approach to social-emotional issues, self-image, and the development of confidence as a learner within a supportive and understanding environment. Challenges are seen as learning opportunities, and all students will be accepted and celebrated for their differences and strengths.

Listening Ears LLC offers Academic Achievement Programs. Listening Ears focuses on identifying and treating the underlying cause behind the symptom. Each child is evaluated using a series of assessment tools to determine what learning program is right for them. We custom-design a program specifically for each child using an array of research-based solutions.

Play A.B.A. is a contracted provider receiving funding from the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) to provide home and community bases services and programs to eligible individuals with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to affect meaningful change in the lives of individuals with social, language, and behavioral deficits. Play A.B.A. strives to provide fun, motivating, and developmentally appropriate interventions that utilize the principles of Applied Behavior Analysi(ABA). In addition we provide private pay home program consultation services, school consulation and trainings, social skills groups, and IEP development.

Play ABA provides a variety of services for children with autism or related disabilities. These services include: Chrysalis Academy -an Arizona Department of Education approved private school, Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Behavioral Consultation, ABA Program development, and Habilitation and Respite services.

Progress Listening Center helps children with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or ADD/ADHD by offering EnListen, the newest patented program available to improve listening, auditory processing, and sensory integration. Developed by Sound Listening Corporation who is chaired by Dr. Billie Thompson, EnListen provides families an in-home choice once the initial evaluation is done. Dr. Thompson was the pioneer who brought Tomatis to the U.S. EnListen takes the benefits of Tomatis many steps further by improving Bone Conduction interference and increasing all processing of sounds necessary to produce word sounds, body coordination and receptive language.

The Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies is a non-profit school and therapy center founded in 1978 by Lorna Jean King. Its mission is to provide the most effective educational and therapeutic methods for autistic and other developmentally delayed youth. The Temple Grandin School and Good Beginnings (preschool) provide daily classes for children ages 3 through 21. The program consists of a tightly interwoven combination of sensory integrative activities, language and communication development, music therapy, and cognitive facilitation. Staff to student ratio is 1.5:2 and often 1:1. One Step Ahead, an early intervention program for toddlers under 3 years, is now available.

Our goal is to develop and sustain an Autism Center in Tucson where individuals with autism and their families will have access to diagnostic and therapeutic services, as well as have the opportunity to participate in educational and support activities. We are also committed to supporting research related to clinical treatments in individuals with autism. This unique partnership between the community and the university will merge science, service and support into one unified center. In addition, we are committed to building and maintaining a therapeutic ranch in the nearby Santa Rita Mountains for individuals with autism and their families. Our vision is to build TAFA into a self-sustainable organization within the next five years.
