Pine Grove, Inc. has provided comprehensive residential and educational care for Autistic children and adolescents since 1970. Children and adolescents considered for placement will have a primary diagnosis which falls within the DSM-IV-TR category of Pervasive Developmental Disorders. Highly individualized treatment plans focus on receptive and expressive communication skills, behavior management, daily living skills and interpersonal relationships. Psychological services, speech/language therapy, pre-vocational therapy and educational services are tailored to meet individual needs and treatment objectives. The 40 acre campus is located 15 miles north of Columbia, SC. The rural setting offers numerous opportunities for recreational, vocational and educational activities. |

Progress Listening Center helps children with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or ADD/ADHD by offering EnListen, the newest patented program available to improve listening, auditory processing, and sensory integration. Developed by Sound Listening Corporation who is chaired by Dr. Billie Thompson, EnListen provides families an in-home choice once the initial evaluation is done. Dr. Thompson was the pioneer who brought Tomatis to the U.S. EnListen takes the benefits of Tomatis many steps further by improving Bone Conduction interference and increasing all processing of sounds necessary to produce word sounds, body coordination and receptive language. |
