The mission of the Utah Parent Center (UPC) is to help parents help their children with disabilities to live included, productive lives as members of the community.

The Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law is a national legal advocate for people with mental disabilities. Through precedent-setting litigation and in the public policy arena, the Bazelon Center works to advance and preserve the rights of people with mental illnesses and developmental disabilities.

The CPD provides a variety of community services, including training and technical assistance to consumers, families, professionals and paraprofessionals, policymakers and students. Model and demonstration services operate within the community, offering assessments, implementation of individualized service plans, family support services, neurotherapy, and inclusionary and transition services.

The Protection and Advocacy (P&A) System are congressionally mandated, legally-based disability rights agencies. P&A agencies have the authority to provide legal representation and other advocacy services, under all federal and state laws, to all people with disabilities (based on a system of priorities for services). All P&As maintain a presence in facilities that care for people with disabilities, where they monitor, investigate and attempt to remedy adverse conditions. These agencies also devote considerable resources to ensuring full access to inclusive educational programs, financial entitlements, health care, accessible housing and productive employment opportunities.

The National Ability Center offers recreational activities for the family. Integration into the community through disabled sports is our focus and we accomplish that by allowing individuals of all abilities to discover their own strengths and interests. By providing access to programs for the individual as well as family and friends we ensure active participation and fun for the entire family. There is no need at the Ability Center to isolate an individual within his or her own activities. While at the Ranch, we can provide an educational and fun outlet for all ages and abilities. Participants include those with orthopedic, spinal cord, neuromuscular, visual and hearing impairments, as well as those with cognitive and developmental disabilities.

The Rocky Mountain Disability & Business Technical is one of 10 regional centers funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), a division of the U.S. Department of Education. Our mission is to provide technical assistance, materials, training, and referrals on the Americans with Disabilities Act and on accessible education-based information technology. Our region covers the states of Colorado, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
