The Autism Support Services: Education, Research, and Training (ASSERT) provides support to families of children with autism as well as educational professionals on how to implement behavioral interventions for children with autism that are based on principles of applied behavior analysis. ASSERT operates a model preschool classroom and provides consulting services to families and school districts throughout Utah and the surrounding region. More than 10 national autism leadership organizations have come together to form AutismCares, a nationwide disaster relief effort that will potentially assist thousands of Katrina families living with autism. To address the most immediate needs, ”AutismCares – Katrina” is coordinating support for the unique needs of families affected by autism through facilitating temporary / permanent relocation support, mobilizing specialty assistance teams and providing autism-conscious supplies directly to these families and the professionals caring for them.

An free online collaboration site dedicated to assisting parent and families affected by autism. By using our site, parents, familes and care providers are able to more efficiently share and communicate on behaviour challenges and treatment effectivness.

The CPD provides a variety of community services, including training and technical assistance to consumers, families, professionals and paraprofessionals, policymakers and students. Model and demonstration services operate within the community, offering assessments, implementation of individualized service plans, family support services, neurotherapy, and inclusionary and transition services.

The Protection and Advocacy (P&A) System are congressionally mandated, legally-based disability rights agencies. P&A agencies have the authority to provide legal representation and other advocacy services, under all federal and state laws, to all people with disabilities (based on a system of priorities for services). All P&As maintain a presence in facilities that care for people with disabilities, where they monitor, investigate and attempt to remedy adverse conditions. These agencies also devote considerable resources to ensuring full access to inclusive educational programs, financial entitlements, health care, accessible housing and productive employment opportunities.

Our region covers the states of Colorado, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

ScenicView is a not-for-profit post-secondary educational facility for adults ages 21 and older with learning disabilities. The facility and programs are state-of-the-art, designed to provide adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to work toward their individual lifetime goals. ScenicView offers year-round 24-hour structure built around a "Balance of Life" program. This enables students to plan goals in eight areas of life: Creative, Educational, Vocational, Independent Living, Social, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual. Emphasis is placed upon continuing progression and positive involvement. As students reach their goals they can set new ones and move on to greater accomplishments.
