Serving the needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, their families, caregivers, and service providers throughout the state of Alaska via information, referral, training, and consultation. The Alaska Autism Resource Center (AARC) is a resource provided by the Special Education Service Agency (SESA) located in Anchorage, Alaska.

The Parent Autism Group is an Anchorage area group led by and for parents, family, friends, and people who have love ones with Autism. We hope to meet you and share your stories, make friends, and support and get to know you for we don't have to be alone.



The meeting is free and open to the public.

We live in a big state and so many of us who need support are far away from other families and professionals that can give us advice or share our stories on a daily basis. Here is a place we can all meet online! This site is is a place for family, friends, and people who work with people with autism spectrum disorders to share stories, keep in touch, talk about issues and concerns, and learn about what is going on in our great state regarding the Autism Spectrum.

The Council provides a constructive process that connects the public with policymakers, to ensure the thoughtful development of an efficient and seamless service delivery system that meets the needs of individuals with disabilities across the life span. Consistent with our State Plan we work towards systems change in areas including housing, employment, early intervention, special education, lifelong learning, independent living and inclusion in the community.

As one of 800 chapters across the nation, our organization works to ensure that the estimated 7.2 million Americans with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the services and supports they need to grow, develop and live in communities across the nation. These services include early intervention, health care, a free appropriate public education and supports for their families.
