The Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services' (ADRS) mission is to enable Alabama's children and adults with disabilities to achieve their maximum potential. Brewer-Porch Children�s Center is a state-wide social service program and teaching clinic of The University of Alabama. A department within the College of Arts and Sciences, the Center provides multidisciplinary mental health services to children and adolescents and is dedicated to the three missions of The University: service, teaching, and research.

Stepping Stones Consulting, LLC. is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provider. Services provided include but are not limited to assessment/evaluation, comprehensive in-home or on-site ABA programs to teach verbal behavior, learning, academic, social, and self-help skills to individuals who exhibit problem behaviors and are diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities. Individualized programs are developed based upon the unique behavioral and educational needs of each person utilizing assessments such as the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS). Data is continually collected and monitored to verify progress in the reduction of target behaviors and the acquisition of more appropriate alternative skills. Stepping Stones Consulting also provides individual training sessions for parents and other concerned citizens.

We specialize in early, intensive behavioral interventions for children birth to age seven. These services include:
• A full assessment of your child’s social, academic, and behavioral needs using VB-MAPP, functional assessment/analysis, and criterion-referenced assessments.
• Comprehensive Individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to your child’s unique needs using the most current, research based strategies to teach language, social skills, and meet developmental milestones.
• Weekly on-site supervision, on-going assessment, and data analysis by a Doctoral Level Board Certified Behavior Analyst to ensure your child’s receiving maximum benefit from his/her program.
• Parent support and training to enhance your child’s learning and improve parent/child interactions
• Assistance with IEP development and consultation for school based programs
We also provide a range of behavioral services for older children with Autism, children with ADHD, and adults with disabilities.

HANDS provides one on one and small group behavioral therapy in a clinic setting or home/school setting. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst is on staff to develop, oversee and assist in implementing all therapy. HANDS also provides training for families and professionals as well as consultation services. We want to be an advocate for your child and will assist the child and his family in any way we can.
