My role as a consulant, evaluator, teacher, therapist, ABA and behavior specialist is to find the key and unlock the door to a new outlook. Each child is unique and so is the program that I develop. Autism is not a determined destination, it is a joutney that we can take together.

After assessing your child's abilities, I will outline a team plan. I video tape often to review the progress made and to help develop modifivations as necessary.

I have been a speech and language therapist for the last 27 years and an ECSE preschool teacher for children with autism he last 7 years. I have developed and taught in the observatinal and teaching clssroom with reversed intgration for children with autism. I have trained teachers, assistants, administration and home therapy providers in the area of behavior management, ABA, DTT and in the manner that children with autism learn. I have worked closely with O.T.s and P.T.s and integrated sensori therapy needs into the program.

I am licenced in the areas of Early Childhood Special Education, Autism and Reading (graduate and post graduate levels); early childhood education speech and language pathology and elementary education (undergraduate level). I hold licences in the states of New York. Arizona, and Nevada (Autism).
I am also certified as a state provider as an Autism Consultant, habilitation and respite provider.

I am available as a consultant, evaluator and program developer, advocate for child and parent, therapist, teacher, trainer, habilitation and respite provider. I will soon open a preschool center with reversed integration for children with autism.

I am an autism consultant. I come into the home to assist parents and children with day to day activities and challenges. I use the TEACCH Model and keep current by attending advanced training annually.

What is the TEACCH Model?

TEACCH focuses on the traits and characteristics of autism and the strengths of the individual. Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication related handicapped CHildren is a competency-based model for teaching children and adults with autism. Learning activities are structured for success rather than failure. To learn more go to: http://teacch.com/about-us-1/what-is-teacch

How can I help?
Through this structured teaching model we can build communication, self-care, vocational skills, and recreation/leisure skills.

Structured teaching is errorless learning. Work systems are highly individualized, taught by me, and then implemented in the home.

How do we begin?
I begin by listening to you. We’ll discuss your concerns for your child in your home or in school. I will ask about his/her areas of needs, strengths, likes and dislikes.

Together we will choose a goal to work on first.

Then, we’ll organize the environment for meaning and attention; schedule the day for success; and create work systems to sequence steps of tasks.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide ESSENTIAL information to avoid "unfortunate" situations. To provide the criminal justice professional KEY skills of quick and accurate identification, understanding and management of developmentally disabled citizens.

My Developmental Disability Awareness In-Service has been approved by the Arizona POST (Arizona Police Officers' Standards and Training Board) for 2 CEU's. Plus, I completed presenting the program to ALL 307 sworn officers and civilian personnel of the Glendale, AZ Police Department.

I have combined the work of the Florida State Department of Developmental Disabilities, Autism Society of America, and the ARC of the United States; reams of reports, three videos and numerous documents into a concise, comprehensive 90+ minute participatory workshop.

To me, as a dedicated professional and father of a 9 year old boy dealing with the life-long challenges of autism, I am committed to educate law enforcement personnel and others in the criminal justice system on how to identify, understand and manage citizens who are developmentally disabled.

Organizations who have expressed support and interest in my program are Childhelp USA, Southwest Autism Research Center, the ARC of the United States, Office for Victims of Crime training and technical center Washington, DC and the National Safety Council just to name a "few".

I am interested in developing "strong", "lasting" and "mutually beneficial" strategic relationships with organizations and individuals advocating for the developmentally disabled population.

We offer habilitation and respite providers throughout the state of Arizona who are trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). ABA is the most current, scientifically proven, and efficient method of teaching essential skills to children on the autism spectrum. It is beneficial for individuals with a variety of other developmental disabilities as well. An effective ABA program may incorporate multiple theories and approaches to teaching, including analysis of verbal behavior, picture schedules, play therapy, and discrete trial training. Each program must be tailored to suit the needs of each individual child and the skill levels of those implementing the program. ABA programs are very child friendly, and focus on teaching the function of language in a positive, age appropriate environment.
