“Expressions” is a therapeutic social skills training program in which ASD children and teens are paired up with neurotypical (NT) peers in structured role play exercises and interactive activities. Our curriculum centers on self-discovery and self-improvement for all participants, ASD and NT alike, de-emphasizing the “disorder component” ASD children’s identity. “Expressions” is not simply about coaching, or memorizing scripts of proper behavior. It strengthens the mental muscles governing and generating those behaviors – theory of mind, empathy, the ability to focus on others, the ability to learn via imitating, understanding the cause-and-effect relationships between actions and others’ behavior and feelings. Parents can watch the sessions in a separate space in real time via live video feed. We are Regional Center approved vendor (PW5973).

Not being able to talk doesn't mean you have nothing to say. In-home speech therapy based on a respectful, developmental model. Offers specific, typically very effective techniques for inspiring interactions and building communication-based language, with clear guidance (and listening!) for parents and caregivers from a therapist who's also parented a child with special-needs. We also work with early childhood educators to demonstrate methods for developing communication for very young children. Research-based, common sense, full of heart and totally individualized approach.

Behavioral Support Partnership partners with families to provide comprehensive, state of the art services and supports founded on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with a focus on Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT). Individuals from one year of age through adulthood who face the challenge of autism and other developmental disabilities are provided individualized assessments and proven, data driven interventions to meet the unique needs of each child and family. Highly individualized services have measurable goals with a focus on functional skills aimed at accelerating the child’s learning curve. We improve the quality of life for families by building skills, facilitating inclusion, eliminating challenging behaviors and empowering parents which is the key to enduring change. Parents are taught to implement teaching strategies during the natural routines of family life. Services are also available in our clinic, at school and in the community. Other services include Speech Consultation and Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy and Consultation. For families located outside our service areas, we offer remote ABA training/treatment programs.

Infants and toddlers from birth to 36 months may be eligible for early intervention services if through documented evaluation and assessment they meet one of the criteria listed below:

1. have a developmental delay in either cognitive, communication, social or emotional, adaptive, or physical and motor development including vision and hearing; or
2. have established risk conditions of known etiology, with a high probability of resulting in delayed development; or
3. are at high risk of having a substantial developmental disability due to a combination of risk factors.

California Respite Care provides In-Home non-medical respite care to families caring for a loved with a developmental disability. We are regional center funded.

The Council collaboratively advocates, promotes & implements policies and practices that achieve self- determination, independence, productivity & inclusion in all aspects of community life for Californians with developmental disabilities and their families.

At CARD, we strive to help children by developing unique and individualized behavioral programs based on each child's particular strengths and weaknesses. Our goal is to teach all of our children the functional skills necessary to replace previously learned maladaptive behaviors, enabling them to live independent and productive lives.

ABA services for individuals on the autism spectrum

The Center for Behavior Research and Education (BRE Center) provides ABA and DTT services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We are a Nonpublic Agency (NPA) and are vendored with Regional Centers. We currently provide services in Bakersfield, the Inland Empire, and the Santa Clarita valley.

CBS Inc, is a non-public agency that is vendored with the California Regional Centers and is a provider for Tri-care Health Insurance. We office intensive applied behavior analytic services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
