At AbilityFirst, our vision is of a society that values each individual and provides the opportunity for all people to lead full and productive lives. For more than 80 years, we have been looking beyond disabilities, focusing on capabilities, and expanding possibilities.

To achieve that vision, we offer a broad range of programs and services to help children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities realize their full potential throughout their lives, including employment, recreational and socialization programs. We also operate 11 accessible housing complexes.

The ABRITE Organization is dedicated to improving the lives of young learners with the use of early intensive intervention services based on the principles of applied behavior analysis. We view each child as an individual and develop an educational curriculum that addresses the learner’s unique strengths while remedying deficits. This goal is achieved solely with the use of empirically supported methodologies as we believe further development and dissemination of validated practices will be the way by which families and science can unite to improve the lives of children with autism and related developmental delays.

Arc Ventura County is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1954 that provides educational, vocational and residential services for people with developmental disabilities.

At California Program for the Autistic we provide an opportunity for Life Long Living and Learning in the community for individuals with developmental disabilities such as autism and severe disorders of behavior and communication.

Summer resident camp for children & adults with developmental disabilities.

Featured Activities: Arts and Crafts, Counselor Training (CIT), Drama, Hiking, Music, Team Field Sports, Recreational Swimming.

Other Activities: Aerobics/Exercise, Backpacking, Baseball/Softball, Basketball, Camping Skills/Outdoor Living, Community Service, Dance, Hockey, Nature/Environmental Studies

Special Needs: This camp specializes in serving campers with the following special needs: Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism, Mental Retardation, Limited Mobility.

Casa Colina will provide individuals the opportunity to maximize their medical recovery and rehabilitation potential efficiently in an environment that recognizes their uniqueness, dignity and self-esteem.

College Living Experience is a post-secondary program that provides intensive assistance with academic, independent living and social skills to college students with autism spectrum disorders as they transition to become independent, responsible adults.

Independent Living Center

Day programs for preschool through adolescence. Also operates 4 group homes for ages 12 - 21.

The Dubnoff Center for Child Development nurtures the potential in each child with developmental, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges. The Center specializes in providing integrated educational, clinical and vocational services so that these children and their families can lead more productive lives.

Group home for autistic adults and also day program for high functioning autistic adults.

Home of Guiding Hands (HGH) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation that has been providing quality residential support and training services to individuals with developmental disabilities for more than 40 years. As a leader in the field, HGH is dedicated to supplying innovative services that meet and exceed the needs of people with developmental disabilities. Located in San Diego East County, we offer a wide range of services including community living, independent living, respite care and senior care planning.

Nursing Home

Modern Support Services (MSS) provides community based services to individuals who are diagnosed with a Developmental Disability and/or Mental Illness. Services include Supported Living, Independent Living, Educational Supports, Family Supports, Court Intervention. We have multiple offices providing services within Orange, Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.

PACE provides high quality programs for individuals with Autism and associated developmental disabilities living in the San Francisco Bay Area. PACE programs are globally recognized as leading models for the treatment of Autism. StatCounter - Free Web Tracker and Counter

PathPoint provides services and support to assist youth and adults with disabilities to live and work as independently as possible in the communities of their choice. Specific services include independent living skills training and long-term support; job placement, on-the-job training and long-term support (group and individual supported employment); vocational assessment (Situational Assessment Program) and day training programs focusing on vocational training through paid work experience, social survival skills training and behavior modification. Assistance with transition planning for students preparing to exit school system.
