Established in 1985, the University of Connecticut's A.J. Pappanikou Center is one of 61 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs) across the nation. Our center has the following areas of emphasis:

* early childhood intervention
* inclusive education
* childcare and respite
* health services
* community supports
* developmental disabilities network

Currently, the Administration on Developmental Disabilities, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services provides the core funding for UCEDDs.

The Autism Spectrum Differences Institute of New England is a non-profit organization. We provide consultation and training, and collaborate in research partnerships, with schools, families, other nonprofits or public agencies, and institutions of higher learning, and community services.

Established in 1995, CCCD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with autism and related disorders by providing educational opportunities utilizing established, empirically validated teaching strategies.

CCCD operates a private school for school age children with autism, an early intervention program for children under the age of three, and offers a graduate training program in Applied Behavior Analysis in conjunction with the University of North Texas.

CCCD also offers an Outreach Program providing home and center-based services including assessment, program development, training, supervision, consultation, and direct instruction utilizing the principles of applied behavior analysis.

We are a year round, licensed, Extended Day Treatment Program specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents ages 6-18) who are on the autism spectrum, have anxiety disorders, experience processing and social learning difficulties; and who are otherwise, as we like to say, “creatively wired and socially challenged.”
