The mission of ALOHA STAC is to provide individuals with disabilities and their families access to computers, peripheral tools, and appropriate software. ALOHA STAC aims to increase awareness, understanding, and implementation of microcomputer technology by establishing a program of activities and events to educate the community about what computers make possible for persons with disabilities.

ATRC, or Assistive Technology Resource Centers of Hawaii, is a statewide, non-profit committed to ensuring access to assistive technology (AT) for persons with disabilities.

The Autism Society of Hawaii was re-established in 1992 as a chapter affiliate of the Autism Society of America. The Society is composed of family members, individuals with autism spectrum disorders, professionals and community agencies and organizations. The Autism Society of Hawaii is committed to educating service providers and the community about autism spectrum disorders, as well as advocating for and supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families. We are developers and creators of therapy materials for AAC (augmentative communication) devices. Based in Hawaii, we provide products to national and international clients.

Legal Services

The DD/MR waiver program provides home and community-based care for persons with developmental disabilities and mental retardation who would otherwise receive such services in an Intermediate Care Facility for persons with mental retardation (ICF/MR).

The goal of this program is to reduce and prevent unnecessary institutionalization by providing home and community-based services at a cost less than or equal to institutionalization.

Assisting individuals having difficulties in understanding the State and Federal Laws; Attends IEP Mtgs.; Mediations, Hearings, Referrals to Attorneys if necessary; Trainings-individual or groups. Refferal Information to other services.

Provides legal assistance to qualifying Hawaii residents to defend their civil rights an to ensure that children with disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education.

The sole mission of the Hawaii Disability Rights Center is to protect and advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, as established in the constitutions and laws of the State of Hawaii and the United States. HDRC is a private non-profit public interest organization established in 1977. It is authorized in federal and state law, is designated by the Governor, and funded by the federal and state governments and private sources, to fulfill its mandate.

The mission of the Council is to support people with developmental disabilities to control their own destiny and determine the quality of life they desire.
