Role-play activities can substantially increase communication capabilities for individuals on the autism spectrum. Our goal is to use theatre techniques to enhance social skills in a fun and creative way.

BERARD AIT is a method of retraining the ear so that the participant can listen and process sounds more normally without distortions and delays. The treatment is not invasive. It uses modulated, broadband music to retrain the auditory processing system. Results from BERARD AIT practitioners around the world document that when the Berard protocol is used, in conjunction with BERARD equipment, positive results are achieved. BERARD AIT enhances hearing perception. Individuals over the age of 3 can participate. Teenagers and adults also benefit. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service offers diagnostic and developmental evaluations, which address social, emotional, learning, communication, behavioral, and school programming needs, for patients with Asperger’s Disorder through a multidisciplinary team approach.

Early ACCESS is a partnership between families with young children, birth to age three, and providers from the Departments of Education, Public Health, Human Services, the Child Health Specialty Clinics. The purpose of this program is for families and staff to work together in identifying, coordinating and providing needed services and resources that will help the family assist their infant or toddler to grow and develop.
