The Central Illinois Chapter of the Autism Society of America strives to improve the lives of all our community affected by Autism by providing resources, educational opportunities, and social activities as well as emotional and financial support.

Coverage area is approximately 60 miles around Springfield.

The Autism Society of McLean County is a family centered support organization. We focus our efforts on helping children and adults with autism be successful through their lifespan. We offer many community based opportunities, a resource book to help navigate local resources, a bi-monthly newsletter, and family cedntered trainings.

Our mission at Beverly Farm Foundation is to provide a loving, caring home for adults with developmental disabilities, providing each individual with physical and emotional security and a dignified quality of life, with opportunities and challenges, within functional capabilities.

Providing a wide variety of consultation, evaluation, and treatment services to help children and families affected by developmental challenges in Illinois. We offer Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists and Clinical Developmental Psychologists specializing in a variety of complementary therapies.

We serve the child's need through a multi-disciplinary approach integrating the therapies and resourses of speech and language pathologists, occupational therapist, developmental and play therapists, and psychologists. We encourage collaborative treatment in order the results of the therapeutic process. In our continuous support of the DIR(Floortime) model we remain focused on the relationship driven nature of treatment.

The Chicago Autism Acadmey is an ISBE approved school, which services students ages 3 to 14 years of age. The primary focus of the program is Behavior Analysis. Students of all levels of ASD are accepted. BCBA and BCABA foster programming along with the IEP team. Program runs through the summer.

The Chicago Education Project is a nonprofit organization servicing children and families with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, behavioral disorders and special learning disabilities. The Chicago Education Project uses scientifically-based principles including ABA/VB and RDI to create individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of our students. The Chicago Education Project provides consultation services from master�s level behavior analysts and speech pathologist on a variety of topics including home based programs, potty training, eating, and social skills training. Emphasis is placed on creating motivating environments in school, clinic and the home, in which children enjoy learning and are able to reach their full potential.

KGH Consultation & Treatment is an innovative therapy center providing comprehensive services to individuals 0-18 with developmental, learning, behavior and social difficulties, along with their family.

MedCare provides outstanding rehabilitation care for adults and children, helping individuals affected by disability pursue healthy and fulfilling lives.

MedCare offers specialized services for children with autism. They run playgroups, language enrichment camps, and also group/individualized therapy sessions for individuals with autism. Further information can be mailed to those interested by contacting the above information.

The NINA Foundation is a non for profit Foundation working with children with and without special needs. We provide theraputic fitness, educational tutoring, music therapy, dance, sign language and horsemanship training. Our program focus on disadvantaged families providing them with programs to expand their education and enviornmental experiences. These tools are also used to prevent, violence, gangs, dropout rates and drug abuse while providing positive experiences.

SpeechKids is a comprehensive clinic providing support for familes, children and teens with special needs. Services include: speech and language therapy, social groups, music therapy, behavioral intervention, academic tutoring, social work, educational consulting and advocacy, assessment/evaluations and a drop-in and after school teen center.

Children with autism spectrum disorders have unique needs and the current components of physical fitness do not meet their needs. Nor do they meet the needs of “normal” children.

It is time to educate our children, parents, educators and physicians about how exercise can help to not only reduce the risk of obesity, diabetes, depression but also improve our children’s confidence, body awareness, motor planning on cognitive development.
