ICOIL oversees independent living services throughout the state and works with the Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Disability, Aging and Rehabilitative Services toward developing a state plan for independent living. Members of ICOIL are appointed by the Governor. There are eight centers for independent living in Indiana that provide advocacy, information and referral, training and peer counseling. |
