Founded by the father of an almost fully recovered autistic boy, Butz & Associates is a consultancy to families afflicted by autism. We focus on assisting families in developing a plan of action in the areas of verbal behavior therapy, IEPs, diet/supplement programs, spiritual treatment and treating the toxicity of the family's living environment.

Our clinic addresses care from a patient centered approach. That is, we use specific laboratory tests to uncover hidden causes and barriers to recovery. We evaluate potential causes such as hidden food allegies, heavy metal toxicities, immune system disturbances, sub-clinical fungal and bacterial infections, amino acid and fatty acid imbalances, nutrient excesses and deficiencies, and the web-like interactions of these underlying functional disturbances in the chemistry of the brain and body. ICOIL oversees independent living services throughout the state and works with the Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Disability, Aging and Rehabilitative Services toward developing a state plan for independent living. Members of ICOIL are appointed by the Governor. There are eight centers for independent living in Indiana that provide advocacy, information and referral, training and peer counseling.
