The Irlen Method has been effective in reducing or eliminating perceptual distortions which plague those who suffer from PDD conditions. The method asks for a parental inventory, some preliminary contact to familiarize the affected person with the environment, and work with filters (colored lenses) to promote focus and decrease stemming behaviors. A preliminary screening is available from the Irlen Institute at www.irlen.com at a small charge. |
