To provide faculty, staff, students, and community members a learning experience about autism. To disseminate information on the various current intervention approaches in the treatment of autism, as well as note what interventions are currently being used by local families. To act as a resource for interventions that are not available in the community.

The purpose of the Developmental Disabilities Specialty speciality clinic is to provide services to the university and community and to provide speciality training opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students in psychology and other related service fields. Involved psychology graduate students are primarily enrolled in the clinical psychology master's program but may also be enrolled in the school psychology specialist degree program.

We offer in shop and in home hair cuts for Autistic children. Appointments should be made in advance. We have been serving autistic children for over 6 years now. We understand some of the challenges of bringing the kids to the shop so we will make house calls. Contact Holly Plunkett

The Mission of the Kentucky Autism Training Center is to enhance supports for persons with autism by providing information and technical assistance to families and service providers across Kentucky.

Kentucky Autism Training Center (KATC) places emphasis on providing information and training on intervention strategies that are supported by research as being effective with individuals with autism spectrum disorders. As new needs are identified, the KATC will strive to meet these needs through collaboration and partnerships. In addition, the Center places emphasis on building performance-based program evaluation efforts at all levels of operation.
