A non-profit organization, AE was founded in 1978 to address the environmental issues that confront people with disabilities and elderly people. Adaptive Environments promotes accessibility as well as universal design through education programs, technical assistance, training, consulting, publications and design advocacy. Its mission is to promote, facilitate, and advocate for international adoption of policies and designs that enable every individual, regardless of disability or age, to participate fully in all aspects of society.

AHEAD (Association on Higher Education And Disability) Organization developed to address the need and concern for upgrading the quality of services and support available to persons with disabilities in higher education.

The Mission of The Arc of Massachusetts is to enhance the lives of individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities and their families. We accomplish this through advocacy of supports and services based in the community.

The Asperger's Association of New England (AANE)'s mission is to foster awareness, respect, acceptance, and support for individuals with AS and related conditions and their families.

This advisory board was formed in March 2003 by family members with children with Asperger's Syndrome and educators. Our goal is to foster awareness, provide education and resources, and create a supportive network across the State of NH.

Autism Services Association (ASA) is a private non-profit human service agency which provides community employment services, supported employment and other clinical supports to young adults and adults with autism and other challenging developmental disabilities. ASA was established in 1963 by a group of concerned parents, citizens, and community leaders to serve the needs of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in Central and Eastern Massachusetts.

The mission of the Autism Society of America is to promote lifelong access and opportunity for all individuals within the autism spectrum and their families, to be fully participating, included members of their community. Education, advocacy at state and federal levels, active public awareness and the promotion of research form the cornerstones of ASA's efforts to carry forth its mission.

Christine has been our advocate for the past 2 years. With her assistance, we were successfully able to obtain the accommodations needed that best suited our child's need.

The Protection & Advocacy Agency. The Disability Law Center (DLC) is the Protection and Advocacy agency for Massachusetts. DLC is a private, non-profit organization responsible for providing protection and advocacy for the rights of Massachusetts residents with disabilities. DLC receives federal, state and private funding but is not part of the state or federal government.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island (EFMRI), an affiliate of the national Epilepsy Foundation, is the only non-profit organization in Massachusetts and Rhode Island specifically dedicated to the well-being of more than 90,000 persons in these states with epilepsy and seizure disorders.

Our Mission: To enable people with epilepsy and their families to make decisions and take actions regarding health care, productivity, independence and community participation. The EFMRI works actively with volunteers, professionals and community organizations to educate the public about epilepsy

The Federation for Children with Special Needs provides information, support, and assistance to parents of children with disabilities, their professional partners, and their communities. We are committed to listening to and learning from families, and encouraging full participation in community life by all people, especially those with disabilities.

First Signs, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating parents and pediatric professionals about the early warning signs of autism and other developmental disorders in early childhood.

I hold monthly support meetings in my home, generally on the 2nd friday of each month from 10-12. Children are invited to attend. These groups are designed for parents who have children with all disabilities and all age ranges.

We share,laugh,cry,offer advice and enjoy each other's company.

A recreation program is soon to be offered for these children who can't otherwise participate in "regular" afterschool activities.

GWARC's mission is to serve people in the community with developmental disabilities and their families, utilizing a person-centered, whole life planning approach. We provide quality, flexible programs and services which maximize independence, foster inclusion and build community connections. GWARC's programs are based upon self-determination, sound teaching practices and the latest technology.

For parents, caregivers, we provide Hyperbaric Oxygen sessions, using kid-friendly, spacious chambers (hard chambers only). EMT-run, safe, track-record of safety and convenience. Flexible parents hours!
