The mission of Whittier Street Health Center is to provide high quality, reliable and accessible primary health care and support services for divers populations to promote wellness and eliminate health and social disparities.

The Arts Therapy Department at Whittier (formerly the Boston Institute for Arts Therapy) is dedicated to using the creative arts to facilitate growth, learning, healing and hope. We provide educational and therapeutic programs to over 2,500 children and families throughout Eastern Massachusetts who are challenged emotionally, physically and developmentally.

The Asperger's Association of New England (AANE)'s mission is to foster awareness, respect, acceptance, and support for individuals with AS and related conditions and their families.

The Asperger's Association of New England (AANE) provides programs and services to foster awareness, respect, acceptance and support for individuals with Asperger' Syndrome (AS) and their families; AS is a form of autism characterized by normal to superior intelligence accompanied by severe and sustained social impairments.

The Asperger's Association of New England (AANE) is made up of individuals with Asperger's Syndrome (AS), their families, friends and professionals. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with AS and related conditions. AANE is overseen by a Board of Directors. Our mission is to foster awareness, respect, acceptance, and support for these individuals and their families.

This advisory board was formed in March 2003 by family members with children with Asperger's Syndrome and educators. Our goal is to foster awareness, provide education and resources, and create a supportive network across the State of NH.

The mission of the Autism Alliance of MetroWest, Inc. is to provide families in the MetroWest area of Boston with information, education and support. We plan and implement programs and events which will aid those families while increasing public awareness regarding autism. To date, we have grown to almost 300 families and 75 specialists in the field of Autism.

Our mission is to: provide an Information and Referral Service, promote social and recreational opportunities, facilitate support groups for families affected by ASD, provide parent and educator training, and to provide a library of resources.

The Autism Center of the South Shore, Inc. was created in 2001 by a group of parents and professionals dedicated to supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families. Our mission is to:

The Autism Resource Center was conceived in 1996 by a group of parents to serve primarily as an information and referral service for children and families affected by disorders within the Autism Spectrum; Autism, PDD NOS and Asperger's. The Center services DMR Region II. This encompasses North Central, Worcester, and South Valley areas. All totaled there are 63 towns within the Autism Resource Center's service area. Parents who live outside the area are also welcome to access the center.


This program is funded in part by the Department of Mental Retardation (DMR) and administered by HMEA, Inc. The Autism Resource Center is a family governed project and is overseen by a Family Steering Committee made up of parents who represent the concerns and ideas of families from the five geographical areas within the service region. The fundraising activities of the Steering Committee augments the funding provided by the state.

Non-profit human services agency serves young adults and adults in supported community employment services in Central and Eastern MA. Nationally Accredited by CARF, Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission, and state quality assurance. Serves all levels of the autism spectrum disorder.

Autism Services Association (ASA) is a private non-profit human service agency which provides community employment services, supported employment and other clinical supports to young adults and adults with autism and other challenging developmental disabilities. ASA was established in 1963 by a group of concerned parents, citizens, and community leaders to serve the needs of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in Central and Eastern Massachusetts.

The mission of the Autism Society of America is to promote lifelong access and opportunity for all individuals within the autism spectrum and their families, to be fully participating, included members of their community. Education, advocacy at state and federal levels, active public awareness and the promotion of research form the cornerstones of ASA's efforts to carry forth its mission.

ASA chapters are operated by parents or professionals who volunteer to share their knowledge of local school systems, doctors, and other services. Many chapters offer informative newsletters and host regular support group meetings. These chapters are often the best place a parent can go to get help from the real experts-other parents! The Autism Support Center empowers families who have a member with autism or related disorder by providing current, accurate, and unbiased information about autism, services, referrals, resources, and research trends. In addition, the ASC will provide educational opportunities for families, professionals and our communities; promote networking; increase community awareness; and advocate for services and opportunities.

ASC provides information & referral, parent and sibling support groups, parent and professional training, lending library, quarterly newsletter and monthly e-bulletin, social skills program in NOrtheastern MA.

Boston Families for Autism, Inc. (BFA) strives to provide quality services for families who have children with autism. We are a resource and referral organization comprised of Boston area parents with autistic children.

Our goal is to provide local support services in the community which include support groups, mentorships, recreational activities, training and information on various services in the Boston area.

BFA's focus is primarily on inner-city families who are looking for services for their children.

Inclusion and empowerment are key as BFA strives to educate families and the community about autism.
