Although Abilities Network has been providing services to children with autism and their families for years through our Project ACT, Family Support Services, and Community & Employment Partners programs, our new Autism Waiver services specifically address the challenges faced by children with autism and their families. The specific areas addressed under Abilities Network�s new Autism Waiver services include Intensive Individual Support Services, and Family Training. Within these categories, families have access to the sort of hands-on services needed to allow their children to achieve at their maximum level in all areas of their lives. Autism centered trainings and services for a child and their family may focus specifically on behavior shaping and management, daily living skills, socialization, mobility, and self-direction.

Autism Salisbury support group offers support, IEP Assistance, Trainings and Conferences.

The Autism Consultation and Treatment Center provides home-based and center-based treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Services are designed and supervised by behavior consultants with extensive experience in the treatment of Autism and related disorders.

Family Training, IISS, Respite, Environmental Adaptations, Therapeutic Integration

Breakthrough Developmental Services is a Maryland-based company offering behavioral therapy, consulting for families and schools, and behavior treatment plans focusing on the needs of the individual. We are available to provide training to parents, paraprofessionals, teachers, and other groups regarding Pervasive Developmental Disorders (i.e.: Autism, Asperger's, Rett's, Childhood Disintegrative Disorder, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder - not otherwise specified) and challenging behaviors.

We utilize the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and verbal behavior (VB) to develop behaviorally-based treatment and learning programs. Through interviews, observations, and assessments we construct individually tailored program and plans to meet your unique needs. Our intervention plans take into account current abilities as well as future goals.

Caring Communities trains respite care providers and maintains a respite care provider registry which includes trained individuals from throughout the State of Maryland. Caring Communities does basic background information checks, but the responsibility lies with the family to interview and hire a respite care provider. Also has excellent "About Our Family" Respite Workbook to help families document information about their child.

Center for Social Change (CSC) is a nonprofit organization that provides residential and supported employment services to children and adults with development disabilities in the community. CSC is a strong advocate of personal choices for individuals who are developmentally, physically, psychologically and emotionally challenged. It has been serving the mentally and physically disadvantaged individuals in Maryland (USA) for the past 10 years.
