Children's Hospital of Michigan's Autism Center provides Comprehensive Evaluation including Neurology, Speech and Language and Psychological Examination. We have many treatment services including Behavioral Consultation for children of any age and any disability in the home or community, a center based Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) program for children ages 2-6 , and a Summer Camp for children ages 5-10 with special needs. Free and very low cost Educational Seminars are offered in the center or at a desired location for parents and educators. The HOPE Center provides both center-based and outpatient treatment by licensed psychologists trained in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Behavior analytic techniques effectively teach communication, play, and social interaction to children with autism. These interventions also successfully treat seemingly intractable behavior problems. The HOPE Center uses a family-focused approach, with behavior specialists and parents collaborating to provide individualized intervention. Treatment encompasses a broad array of ABA techniques, balancing adult-directed, discrete trial teaching with child-led, incidental teaching. |
