We have two Dept of Education grant projects that provide educational support for North Dakota families at no charge. Both projects have an extensive book, video and dvd lending library. We also have numerous printed resources. The Pathfinder Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) provides assistance to families who have children with disabilities. PTI projects help parents to better understand the nature and needs of their child's condition. We can help parents communicate more effectively with special and regular educators, administrators, related services personnel and other relevant professionals. At the Center you can obtain information about the programs, services and resources available to a child with a disability. The Parent Information Resource Center (PIRC) works closely with parents, educators and community organizations to strengthen partnerships so that children can reach high academic standards through parent involvement. |
