The Anne Carlsen Center for Children offers a rich tradition of residential, therapeutic and educational services on one campus, located near the scenic James River in Jamestown, N.D. Our individualized services include care for children and young adults coping with cerebral palsy; orthopedic, vision and hearing impairments; autism, pervasive and other developmental disorders; and many other medical challenges. We nurture individuals with physical, mental and health impairments through creative combinations of special education and training, therapy, supportive medical care and, above all else, the unconditional love, understanding and sense of belonging every child longs for and deserves.

Parents and educators working together to improve educational opportunities for children with disabilities. FEET sponsors trainings fo rparents and educators, sidtributes a newsletter, provides parents as mentors, purchases books and videos for the public library, etc.

Dr. Yeager can provide diagnostic assessment and consultation regarding treatment for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Work with families in helping to find services for their children - advocacy for IEP, IDEA, Section 504 wraparound, letter requesting assessment start, search for medial professionals and emergency placement, short and long term placement of children with out loosing parental custody, also specialize in autism.

The North Dakota Family to Family Network is a support network based on the philosophy that parents who have successfully adapted to their children's disabilities or special health care needs, are the best support for other parents of children with special needs. The Family to Family match provides emotional support and understanding, shared experiences, and support in accessing resources. It is designed to be broad based, to serve children with all types of disabilities and special health care needs and their families, and accommodate the needs of families in rural environments.

This is the advocacy organization for the state of North Dakota for people with disabilities.

Providing support to families as they face daily challenges with children who have mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Advocacy within the school system, assistance in writing letters, attending meetings with parents, working as a team to find services for the family.

We have two Dept of Education grant projects that provide educational support for North Dakota families at no charge. Both projects have an extensive book, video and dvd lending library. We also have numerous printed resources. The Pathfinder Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) provides assistance to families who have children with disabilities. PTI projects help parents to better understand the nature and needs of their child's condition. We can help parents communicate more effectively with special and regular educators, administrators, related services personnel and other relevant professionals. At the Center you can obtain information about the programs, services and resources available to a child with a disability. The Parent Information Resource Center (PIRC) works closely with parents, educators and community organizations to strengthen partnerships so that children can reach high academic standards through parent involvement.

Pathfinder Family Center consists of two statewide federally funded education projects: Pathfinder Parent Training and Information (PTI), serving families of children with special needs and NDPASS Parent Information Resource Center (PIRC) assisting families and schools in general education.

Pediatric Therapy Partners help kids and their families by providing outpatient Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Therapy services for children with special needs within a natural, fun and functional environment.

The Arc, Upper Valley, Inc., is a member and volunteer-driven nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of life for children and adults with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families through education, research and advocacy.
