The Center for Housing and New Community Economics (CHANCE) was established in March of 2001. CHANCE's mission is to improve and increase access to integrated, affordable, and accessible housing coordinated with, but separate from, personal assistance and supportive services. CHANCE's purpose will be to offer alternatives to approaches that segregate, congregate, and control people with disabilities. The IOD will work in partnership with ADAPT in all aspects of the Center. ADAPT is a national organization that focuses on promoting services in the community for people with disabilities.

empowerment of individuals and their families who experience mental illness, emotional distress, developmental disability, chronic health need, or acquired brain disorder.

As one of 800 chapters across the nation, our organization works to ensure that the estimated 7.2 million Americans with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the services and supports they need to grow, develop and live in communities across the nation. These services include early intervention, health care, a free appropriate public education and supports for their families.

Crotched Mountain offers a full range of education, clinical, rehabilitation and residential support services for children and adults with disabilities from New Hampshire, the rest of New England and New York at its rehabilitation center in Greenfield, NH and in many community locations.

EdTech Associates offers educational consulting and training services for public and private schools who want to use technology more effectively with autistic learners. EdTech Associates is consultin and training with a NH public-supported school that provides educational programs for students with autism and neurological disorders. This school has revolutionized instruction with autistic learners by using interactive whiteboards, standard software and interactive websites in group instruction. This model has significant implications in how to instruct autistic learners.

Education-A-Must Inc. is a nonprofit corporation providing advocate services for the child or youth with physical, emotional, behavioral, or learning disabilities. Our goal is to assist parents and caregivers in finding help for the child with special needs. EAM works with local, state and federal agencies to secure the necessary services and education for all who qualify.

The Family Resource Connection is a special library program and clearinghouse of information of the New Hampshire State Library. Its purpose is to collect and make available to New Hampshire residents current and useful information on all aspects of caring for, educating, and raising healthy children, especially young children with special needs.

Farmsteads of New England provides day, residential, and respite services in a farming environment for people who have autism and other developmental disabilities. We work primarily with adults but also provide respite and transition services to adolescents as young as 14 yrs.

GSIL is a private, non-profit organization committed to equality of opportunity for all people with disabilities. In 1980, we began with a small group of people with disabilities who wanted to control their own destinies and make their own life choices. Since then, GSIL has grown into a statewide information, advocacy, and direct services organization run by and for people with disabilities.

Their web site provides links with up to 6,000 agencies statewide. Professionals at NH Helpline offer training in search techniques and how to maximize using the web site. You can call them 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
