In addition to educational services and available community resources, we provide information on meetings, seminars, specific disorders, and the most recent research findings.

RESOURCE LIBRARY: Library of books, pamphlets, brochures, videos and other information is available to parents and professionals.

ADVOCACY: Works to improve services across service delivery systems for children with neurobiological, emotional, or behavioral differences.

Parents Reaching Out is a statewide non-profit organization that works with parents, caregivers, educators and other professionals to promote healthy, positive and caring experiences for New Mexico families and children.

Protection & Advocacy System; We are advocates working together with people who have disabilities in promoting and protecting their legal and service rights.

The Protection and Advocacy (P&A) System are congressionally mandated, legally-based disability rights agencies. P&A agencies have the authority to provide legal representation and other advocacy services, under all federal and state laws, to all people with disabilities (based on a system of priorities for services). All P&As maintain a presence in facilities that care for people with disabilities, where they monitor, investigate and attempt to remedy adverse conditions. These agencies also devote considerable resources to ensuring full access to inclusive educational programs, financial entitlements, health care, accessible housing and productive employment opportunities.

NM-LDA is headquartered in Albuquerque. Dues of $25 per year entitle a family to belong to both organizations and receive their newsletters.
