The Childrens Center’s Upper West Side campus will provide scientifically based world class treatment and education to children ages 3 to 12 utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

The program’s Interdisciplinary Model will incorporate ABA, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy as well as natural environment training and family support.

The Children's Center is a partner in research and service activities with Columbia University, Teachers College faculty and students.

The Childrens Center’s Brooklyn Campus (www.schoolworksonline.org) was established in 1996 to provide educational and therapeutic services to children with developmental delays including children diagnosed with PDD and Autism. Over the years of its existence, The Children's Center has served over 1,500 children and employed over 200 professionals in its Interdisciplinary Model. It is this level of front line experience that gives The Children's Center its expertise in delivering quality services to the right children at the right time by the right people.

AHA Association is a 501(c)(3) New York organization providing support and education for families, individuals and professionals affected by Aspergers Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorders and related conditions. We run (10)monthly support groups from Montauk to Manhattan (including a group for Teens on the spectrum and one for adults), two major conferences yearly, a hotline, monthly educational meetings, a comprehensive website and a newsletter.

We offer free resources, support & training to families and professionals dealing with Autism and its related disorders. We also offer comprehensive consulting and coordination throughout the world. We welcome anyone and everyone - regardless of diagnosis!

Autism Speaks is dedicated to helping families find answers, through funding research and education efforts and, most significantly, by spearheading the development of a national registry of autism patients. The lack of such a registry makes research all the more difficult and costly. We are committed to assembling a significant central database of children with autism that will provide, for the first time, the standardized medical records that researchers need to conduct accurate clinical trials. We believe this will facilitate the large-scale studies and clinical trials that will improve the effectiveness of treatment and eventually help lead us to a cure.

Best Buddies’ programs create mutually-enriching socialization opportunities for youth with and without intellectual disabilities through structured one-to-one friendships. These friendships offer participants a unique opportunity to promote a more inclusive school environment while establishing a meaningful personal friendship. For the child who has an intellectual disability, developing a friendship with a non-disabled peer is critical to their success in school and their transition into the adult roles of employee, colleague and community member. The benefits to children without intellectual disabilities are great as well, as they are better equipped to enter the world with a respect for the value of inclusivity and the power to challenge long-held stereotypes and prejudices about people with disabilities.

Craig Selinger, a licensed pediatric speech language pathologist, offers home-based speech, language, feeding, and social skills consultation and training services for young children and their families. He also works with teachers to incorporate goals into the educational setting and makes recommendations that other professionals can incorporate into their therapy.

We are an agency that provides EI, CPSE and CSE services to children with special needs. We work closely with families and local school distrcits. We have hands on clinical supervision for all ABA cases.

Dr. Robert Melillo author of "Disconnected Kids" created a unique non-medical hemispheric based program. This program was originated through research that has come to reveal that these disorders can often be related to a fundamental imbalance of electrical activity between the two hemispheres of the brain. Hundreds of children with neurobehavioral disorders have completed our individualized program with proven results.

Special educator with more than 7 years teaching experience. I have three years of full time teaching experience with students who have autism.

CHIP is a provider of home-based Early Intervention (birth to 3 yo) and SEIT (3-5 yo) services in all 5 boroughs of NYC. We specialize in ABA-Verbal Behavior, and we provide all therapies (speech/language pathology, OT, PT, Special Education, Social Work,). All the special educators are highly trained and supervised by experienced clinicians. The ABA team members engage the children in the natural environment and integrate their approaches with each other so that the theraputic process is maximized. Families are strongly encouraged to participate as active and important team members.
