Assistance with individuals who are on the Home and Community Based Waiver who want to do self-determination. This enables individuals with autism to live the life they dream about while not being at the mercy of an agency or service provider. They hire their own staff and pay them at the wages the individual deserves. They can supplement their lives within their families or while in a group home with activities and programs within the community.

Providing broker services for those with autism who receive Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver. This program will enable a person and his family to have more control over their lives. It is a self-determination and self-advocacy model.

Early intervention government office

CHIP is a provider of home-based Early Intervention (birth to 3 yo) and SEIT (3-5 yo) services in all 5 boroughs of NYC. We specialize in ABA-Verbal Behavior, and we provide all therapies (speech/language pathology, OT, PT, Special Education, Social Work,). All the special educators are highly trained and supervised by experienced clinicians. The ABA team members engage the children in the natural environment and integrate their approaches with each other so that the theraputic process is maximized. Families are strongly encouraged to participate as active and important team members.

LDA State Office

The Livingston County Youth Bureau was established in 1978 and is a department of County government. New York State's Office of Children and Family Services funds are channeled through the Youth Bureau to programs and services for youth under the age of 21 in the county. The State aid distributed by the Bureau to municipal and non-profit agencies provides both recreational and delinquency prevention services to county youth and promotes positive youth development.

Information, referral and advocacy for parents of children and adults who are on the Autism Spectrum. Programs include a parenting skills class and support groups and assistance with legal guardianship, academic programming and social services.

The Commission on Quality of Care for the Mentally Disabled serves people with mental disabilities and their families by providing independent oversight of the quality and cost-effectiveness of services provided by all mental hygiene programs in New York State. It administers five federal formula grant programs through which it provides legal and non-legal advocacy services to persons with disabilities to assist them in obtaining the services and protections of federal and state laws.

The Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities mission is: To develop a comprehensive, integrated system of services which has as its primary purposes the promotion and attainment of independence, inclusion, individuality and productivity for persons with mental retardation and developmental disabilities; To serve the full range of needs of persons with mental retardation and developmental disabilities by expanding the number and types of community based services and developing new methods of service delivery; and To improve the equity, effectiveness and efficiency of services for persons with mental retardation and developmental disabilities by serving persons in the community as well as those in developmental centers, and by establishing accountability for carrying out the policies of the state with regard to such persons; and To develop programs to further the prevention and early detection of mental retardation and developmental disabilities.
