Dr. Mary Riposo, PhD, owner of Alternative Autism Solutions, is a licensed Mental Health Counselor and certified School Psychologist. She offers consultation and counseling services to families of children with Autism Spectrum and related disorders. In addition, Dr. Riposo is an Usui Reiki Master/Teacher and offers training for parents and professionals in Reiki techniques for use with children with ASD. She has written a book on the topic, which is available on her website. Dr. Riposo is dedicated to empowering parents of children with ASD to be the experts in their own children's health and healing.

Andretta Behavior Analysts is an agency dedicated to applying the principals of behavior analysis to educate professionals and increase
students’ educational progress.We provide services in school-based inclusion programs, self-contained classrooms, home-based programs, after-school programs, recreational programs and more. We provide consultation to teachers, parents, paraprofessionals, related service providers,child-care personnel, extended family members and others. Andretta Behavior Analysts was founded by Melissa J. Andretta, a Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). Melissa brings to the firm doctoral training in behavior analysis and disorders from Columbia University, a School Administrator/Supervisor Certificate (SAS), NYS Special Education Certificate and over ten years in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

We provide Autsim/ABA consultation services in home- and school-based educational programs. While we specialize in students on the autism speactrum, we have worked successfully with students with other disabilities, who require behavior analysis servcies. Angelfish Therapy -- created by two highly experienced OT/PT professionals -- gives children with sensory processing and motor coordination issues a fun, challenging, and highly motivating environment in which to work on their therapy goals, through adaptive aquatics, swim lessons, and summer camps.

Dr. Gilbert is focused on the early identification of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and emphasizes the importance of early intervention with this population. Working with the family as a system is of special importance to Dr. Gilbert as she strives to provide a wide variety of support for families. Dr. Gilbert has over 13 years of experience working with children who have pervasive developmental disorders, such as ASD, in early intervention and diagnostics, in research exploring various behavior and language interventions, in Applied Behavior Analysis, and in the area of prelinguistic interventions. Early and accurate diagnosis provide the most efficacious treatment for this population, and Dr. Gilbert advocates the importance of implementing empirically validated interventions utilizing the most current measures (such as the premier objective measure, Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, ADOS) and methods (such as Applied Behavior Analysis, ABA) for unpackaging the enigma of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Craig Selinger, a licensed pediatric speech language pathologist, offers home-based speech, language, feeding, and social skills consultation and training services for young children and their families. He also works with teachers to incorporate goals into the educational setting and makes recommendations that other professionals can incorporate into their therapy.

The Broome-Tioga Chapter of The Autism Society of America is located in the rolling hills of Broome County in Binghamton, New York. We are a group of parents and professionals dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with autism in our community and beyond. We hold monthly meetings at Lourdes Hospital, publish a quarterly newsletter, host annual conferences featuring top experts in the field of autism, and do our best to educate the local community about Autism in general. Special Education Advocacy

The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities at the University at Albany (CARD - Albany) is a university - affiliated resource center that brings research and practice together in community settings. CARD - Albany provides evidence based training and support to families and professionals, and through on-going research contributes knowledge to the field of autism spectrum disorders.

CARD provides treatment to children with Autism, PDD and Asperger's Syndrome. Currently we have 17 offices internationally providing services to nearly 1,000 children. At CARD, we strive to help children by developing unique and individualized behavioral programs based on each child's particular strengths and weaknesses. Our goal is to teach all of our children the functional skills necessary to replace previously learned maladaptive behaviors, enabling them to live independent and productive lives.
