I provide advocacy for children and adults with disabilities. I attend MFE meetings, IEP meetings, Mediations, Due Process Hearings, Misc. Meetings and Hearings. I refer families to agencies. I assist in finding resources in your immediate or surrounding areas. There are a wide range of services that I am able to provide, some at NO cost, others at a minimal fee. The mission of the Ohio Department of MR/DD is continuous improvement of the quality of life for Ohio's citizens with developmental disabilities and their families.

OCALI is a statewide federally funded project under the direction of the Ohio Department of Education, Office for Exceptional Children. OCALI is a clearinghouse for information on autism spectrum disorders. OCALI has an on-line lending library of books, DVD, and other media resources, as well as loans of assistive technology devices. OCALI also offers topical in-services, trainings, workshops and provides techinical assistance for parents and school districts.

Ohio Protection and Advocacy Agency

The mission of the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission is to work in partnership with people with disabilities to assist them in achieving greater community participation through opportunities for employment and independence.

Early intervention (EI) is available for children with or without disabilities from birth through age two. EI is family-centered, focusing on the overall needs of the family to provide the best developmental environment for the child. An Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) is required for a child enrolled in an early intervention program. The EI programs are required through Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) and are administered by the Ohio Department of Health through its Help Me Grow program.
