SoonerStart is Oklahoma's early intervention program, and is designed to meet the needs of infants and toddlers with disabilities from birth to three and their families. SoonerStart is an interagency program with collaboration between the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Oklahoma Department of Health, Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth. The Oklahoma State Department of Education serves as the lead agency for this program.

Oklahoma ABLE Tech's Mission is to facilitate systems change to enhance the provision of, access to and funding for assistive technology so that individuals with disabilities can achieve their greatest potential.

The Oklahoma Autism Network is committed to improving the outcomes and quality
of life for individuals with autism and their families through education, professional development, advocacy, and systems change while respecting individual preferences, adhering to research and best practices, and promoting community inclusion.

Provides a range of disability services including vocational rehabilitation, schools for the blind and deaf, library for the blind and physically handicapped, disability determination under Social Security, independent living services for older blind individuals, telecommunications and other special equipment for deaf and hard of hearing persons, and other services.

The Oklahoma Developmental Disabilities Council was established in 1971 to help coordinate the efforts of state agencies and private organizations in Oklahoma in meeting the needs of Oklahomans with developmental disabilities and their families.

The mission of the Oklahoma Insurance Department is to serve and protect the insurance buying public. This will be accomplished by assuring that consumers have available a solvent insurance market, a well-educated industry from which to purchase insurance, and by providing high-quality policyholder service and education. To this end, the Department will enforce the insurance laws and regulations of this state impartially and expeditiously.

Our mission at the Oklahoma State Department of Education, is to improve student success through: service to schools, parents and students; leadership for education reform; and regulation/ deregulation of state and federal laws to provide accountability while removing any barriers to student success.

Information and referrals, support groups, and educational advocacy/IEP assistance for families of children with developmental disabilities, including autism and Asperger Syndrome. Support groups include Moms & Dads Group; Hispanic Parents Group; "Connections" Asperger's Group for adolescents; and "Links" group for adults with Asperger's.
