We believe that families challenged by autism are entitled to accurate and timely information, require emotional and practical support from other families struggling with comparable challenges, and often need advocacy assistance and training to maximize availability and utilization of treatment, educational and vocational possibilities required by law.

AHEADD is a private organization which provides coaching, mentoring and personal advocacy for students with HFA/AS attending college.

Established as Berks County Chapter for Retarded Children (later name changed to Berks County Chapter for Retarded Citizens; Association for Retarded Citizens, Berks County; to current - The Arc of Berks County).

Provided preschool programs, residential and sheltered employment opportunities until 1979 when Arc staff created a new agency, Prospectus Associates,Inc., direct services were spun-off. Current focus is Advocacy - supports provided to individuals, families and agencies. A Board of Directors guides the organization.

I have a son who was diagnosed with Autism. My passion is to help ALL ages with cleaning the Colon. I assist my clients with a "class 1 equipment" certified under the FDA as a "ENEMA". I am a Colon Hydrotherapist under the I-ACT, International Association For Colon HydroTherapy. I love working with Children and Teenagers in the Spectrum by bring purifed water into the body allowing the digestive system to work.

ASCEND Group is an Asperger Syndrome information alliance for Greater Philadelphia. Their mission is to raise public awareness about Asperger syndrome, to advocate for improved education and services, and to provide support and information to the regional Asperger community. Meetings take place in counties throughout the region.

Provide information on how to access modifications and accommodations. Assist parents in understanding what their children of any age need and in what to ask for when encountering the educational and medical systems.

We offer initial diagnosis with very little wait, wraparound evaluations, outpatient counseling, IEP consultation, occupational therapy, respite, speech therapy, social groups and more

The mission of the Autism Society of America is to promote lifelong access and opportunities for persons within the autism spectrum and their families, to be fully included, participating members of their communities through advocacy, public awareness, education, and research related to autism.

Autism Support and Advocacy in Pennsylvania was launched in 1988 to work toward the full inclusion of Pennsylvania's citizens with autism in all aspects of our society, and to approach these issues from the perspective of citizenship and social justice. It is the belief of ASAP that attitudes towards people with autism are undergoing a profound change as we learn better ways to hear and respect their communication. We wish to encourage the growing appreciation of their competence and the recognition of their needs for new choices which will give meaning and richness to their lives.

I believe that this group should include all the so called "Shadow Syndromes" which includes the Autism Spectrum Diagnoses [PDDs], CAPD, SID, ADD, ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, Bipolar and more.

We may not share the same diagnoses, but we certainly share the challenges of parenting and schooling our special kids.

The Center is not open to the public at this time. It will be exclusively open to our group.

Colon Hydrotherapy with an OPEN SYSTEM, High Enema, it is very important to understand that we need to get our children Hydrated. The Berks County Learning Disabilities Association (BCLDA) is a chapter of the Learning Disabilities Association of Pennsylvania (LDAP) and also an affiliate of the Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA). Our local association has its offices in Building K of the Reading Hospital. The state office is in Uwchland, Pennsylvania and our national office is in Pittsburgh. BCLDA is a non-profit volunteer organization whose members provide support, guidance and information to parents, professionals, as well as, individuals with learning disabilities.
